A Contemporary Home Office Garden Room — Bracknell, Berkshire

The client in Bracknell wanted something that would genuinely earn its place in the garden: a dedicated workspace that felt considered and well-built, not a flat-pack afterthought. We designed and built a fully insulated, contemporary garden room from the ground up — one that works as a professional home office year-round. This garden room serves as the perfect finishing touch, seamlessly complementing the complete landscaping transformation we designed and built for this client

We started at ground level. A solid, insulated floor was laid before the structural frame went up and the grey composite cladding was fitted — a low-maintenance, high-quality finish that gives the building its clean, contemporary edge. Anthracite grey double doors and matching windows were installed to frame the light and connect the room to the garden without losing any of the building's sharp lines. A flat EPDM roof completed the structure: thermally efficient, durable, and practically invisible from the garden floor.

Outside, porcelain paving was laid to create a clean transition between the building and the garden — hard-wearing, level, and in keeping with the contemporary palette. Recessed spotlights were installed at the base of the building to provide subtle evening lighting and lift the room's presence after dark.

Inside, the finish is exactly what you'd expect from a space built to work in: well insulated, quiet, and properly lit. A room that earns its keep every single day.
