We designed and built this sunken fire pit entertaining space in Finchampstead, Berkshire — Italian porcelain paving leads down into the sunken seating area, where a central gas fire pit burner sits set in white gravel, framed by weathered white washed timber built-in benches beneath a matching cedar pergola. Warm LED uplighting runs through the pergola's timber slats and up the steps, turning the whole space into something you genuinely don't want to leave. This is outdoor living built to be used — not just looked at.
